Sister Callista Roy Receives Award
Dear Friends and Colleagues associated with St. Mary’s in Kurume, Japan,
You are important to me and I want to share with you a major event in my life.
On November 8, 2021, received a Life Time Achievement Award in Indianapolis, Indiana. The award was given by the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau founded 100 years ago in Indianapolis. The honor society is the second largest nursing organization in the world with 530 chapters located on more than 700 college and university campuses in the United States and 85 countries around the globe. Sister Callista was honored for her contributions to nursing education, practice, research, mentorship and leadership. My acceptance speech will provide more of the spirit of this event and how I see you as a part of it.
